well after changing the mouse controls to joystick controls the controls arent a problem anymore. The only bad part is that there are levels in which you can get stuck if you dont have enough items like bombs and ropes.

Just ignore the errors (Close the error windows) and the emulator runs fine. You will get a blank blue screen but that is just it loading. It takes a while to load. After that, everything runs fine.

This game is so bad, it actually causes the emulator to have serious issues. I guess the emulator must be thinking 'Link:The Faces of Evil?! I'm not running that!'
